i'm thinking of buying ferrite cores to reduce/prevent RFI and EMI around my electronics.
most of my loom behind my gear is tangled in a snake pit

i was reading on internet to reduce RFI, best thing to do is to run all the loom along the side wall in a straight line.
it's not always possible to run a cable in a straight line.

so if I can reduce RFI/EMI with ferrite cores, I will try this.
there are many China based sellers on eBay selling ferrite cores in bulk for low prices.
I guess everything is made in China nowadays.
are these chinese ferrite cores any good?

some sellers shares the information of their products on their eBay auctions that the ferrite cores are made of zinc-nickel material.
is it preferable to use zinc/nickel or maybe other material for ferrite core?

what ferrite cores are recommended for HiFi gear?

these cores are made by TDK, must be made of good quality components?
or is it possible they are knock off cores from a known brand?
