i recall playing KEITH COURAGE IN THE ALPHA ZONES/Mashin Eiyūden Wataru a few times on store demos as a 8/9 year old boy
back in the day. there was a family-owned A/V/HOME THEATER store my mom liked to hit up often at the time, that had a TG-16 demo set up
and always had a tray of chocolate chip cookies out pretty much every time we went there, that they just couldn't keep me away from.

COSTCO WHOLESALE also had a demo in their electronics area, also running KEITH COURAGE.

my mom had gotten me the SEGA GENESIS, and she briefly considered adding the TG-16,
but since i was a rather heavy-handed boy, she worried about the perceived fragility of the HuCARDs,
and ultimately chickened out on the TURBO GRAFX.

about a decade ago, i was mildly intent upon living the personal TG-16 dream that never was, after a fashion, courtesy of the PC ENGINE,
and picked up my first game, a dirt-cheap copy of Wonder Momo, to be followed by KEITH COURAGE/WATARU.

alas, other priorities got in the way, and things never did get any father than that copy of Momo;

Ordered some PS4 games from Gamestop, a mixed bag as expected but this stuff was dirt cheap. Still a few more in the mail.

Cyber City! That's some awesome 80s trash (in a good way).

I went to a local game store today and bought these PS1 games: Breath of Fire IV, Final Fantasy Anthology, Vagrant Story.

The PC Engine is amazing. The PC-FX is more entertaining as an example of industrial design than any kind of game playing. It was a shockingly inept follow up.

Dang, the TG-16 mini is friggn enormous! I guess I knew exactly how big it is because I have the PCE Mini and they are exactly the same scale to each other as the OG systems but my word that is a totally pointless waste of space...exactly like the original TG-16 but that one was actually filled with circuitry. This one has to just be %40 hollow inside.

Should have waited. Don't look at current prices. It's actually a pretty interesting game, happy to have it again for the old price. There are a few more games on my PS1 want list (already have a sizable library). Trying to get them now, before things get worse.

It's hard to say, it barely got any games because it was so short lived. I liked the titles that I did play on it. It's not just full of awfulness like some of the other short lived consoles.

I'm just messing, no one could have predicted this huge spike up across the board.

Honestly when I listed it there were BIN for 35 bucks.
I never even owned any PS, N64 was the last system I ever had before I bought arcade machines.

Now if I can ever make it back to the city I'll sell off my N64 that I thought I told my father to toss 15 years ago when it wasn't
selling for 25 bucks

Recently I've sold some LDs for crazy money if you ask me, I didn't even think they were that important of LD titles either.

I did buy these today at the dollar store, so I don't have to touch the pin pad anymore with my fingers.

I have the Chogokin figure of the green Unicorn, pretty fun to change it back and forth.

Was in Yodobashi Camera earlier today, they had restocked a bunch of PG kits including the GP-01. Would be seriously tempted by a PG GP-02...

Those are lovely discs. I envy you.

There was a time when I used to collect everything on DVD and Blu Ray. Nowadays in the times of fast downloads and Netflix
a lot of DVD and Blu Rays, especially DVDs, are worthless. Kind of like films like Independence Day on Laserdisc are of little
value today even though it was cool to own such titles back then. I know that a lot of the films that I have on DVD on my shelf today
are worthless, films like Terminator 2, etc. I was thinking of putting almost all of my DVDs in a box and replacing with higher value
stuff and Blu Rays and 4K UHDs.
A lot of times when I walk the streets here I can see people throwing away old DVDs, putting them on the street, just like people do
and used to do with used books of little value. It is kind of sad when I remember how much I paid for some of my DVDs back then
like various special editions, etc., 20 Euro+.

What's of value nowadays are titles like these. Even Criterion DVDs continue to be of high value today. This also concerns a lot
of music titles ( but not all ) and other rare stuff.
