Gotta be aware, vigilant, and know your s**t....

Antique business has been riddled with fugazi peddlers of junk since people started collecting art deco in the 1930's (and before most likely).
There are clever ways to know what your buying in person, however the inter-webs are a whole new game.
The small minded may make some coin in the short term, however word of mouth can ruin a reputation fairly quickly.

The thief appears to profit. It just appears that way though......
Boomerang effect will come around like a hammer eventually, in this life or the next. Cannot out run good 'ole Karma.

Best thing, get to know a good provider of quality product.... and stick with them over the years if possible.
Quality costs though. Old adage still holds true mostly...... one gets what one pays for.... not gospel however mostly.

Cheers mates. ;)

Man I can't even import booze into my state since you can only buy from state run liquor stores here. Sucks for when I went something special, I gotta drive like 2 hours.

Kansas is also very lame about it. Extremely archaic laws though there have been some recent small improvements.

You'd think somewhere Midwest, but nope, Vermont! You can buy anytime of day, any day of the year, but no shipping liquor, only beer/cider/wine.

Nice, was just listening to the radio last night and a couple were being interviewed about their starting a business in the mid
90s seling EO, very interesting.
It was on NPR if you care to find and listen to it, sorry that's all I remember but they spoke about how they would get
companies like Whole Foods to buy their product.

And always great to have Debussy!!!!! I bet it sounds great on your setup.

Hi Rein-o, A Genuine pleasure to read from you Sir. I shall look that npr show up if I can find it at some stage.....Thank you.
Debussy I listened through my Sennheiser HD800s connected to the Graham Slee headphone amp DVD CD SACD Player was Denon 3930 the recording is excellent with no hiss at all, one is able to hear all of the nuances, breathing, fingers, and so much else besides... Felt as though I was there at a live performance. Superb Album.

cool benmbe

I appreciate good scents. I run a w)taps x M&M incense burner with Neighborhood Pacific incense by Kuumba International (A Division of Travelling Book Nook of course). It's what one of the most legendary Harajuku clothing stores, Neighborhood, smelled like when I first walked in in 2001.

Here is the info with the NPR site so you can listen if you have time.
I personally can't listen to podcasts for some reason but it was very interesting as the one founder discovered essential oils on a trip in the UK.

Just got this monstrosity. Won't even fit in my bookshelf, so I have to prop it against the tower of box sets on topside.

Also got all the Wave 1 human figures from the 1993 Aliens toyline by Kenner.

Man, didn't realise the box set was actually Godzilla sized! That's pretty cool.

Genuinely why do you want this stuff and all the other seemingly random stuff you post up? Fan of light gun games on Xbox? Play a lot of Xbox? Fan of Rome? Future resale? Just the fact you can get it for almost nothing, too good to pass up?

Nice! That Godzilla set looks way better than the master collection one they released on DVD.

I've had at least one original Xbox console for many years now (but I have 3 currently). Never had any light guns for them, they only work with crt televisions. The wireless controllers are new old stock, not genuine obviously but it isn't easy to come across brand new controllers for older consoles locally (yeah you can get them via ebay or whatever though). All were priced very reasonably plus I get staff discount. Extra controllers are always handy and these are wireless (I only had wired for this particular console).
There were boxes full of both guns and controllers I didn't buy all of them.
I collect console hardware among other things.

Rome S2 was getting thrown out because it's region 2, I got S1 just so I'd have both.
I collect tv shows and movies, not always necessarily stuff I love. In the past there was stuff I wouldn't bother getting but as I get older I'm kinda mellowing a bit so open to giving shows/movies a chance I wouldn't of when I was younger.
