A great all round beer, worth checking out some time.

While in Finland I also found I was quite partial to Karhu which translates to Bear. Unfortunatly I've found it impossible so far to get hold of it outside of Finland so it remains a holiday treat.


Despite my girlfriend not liking my laserdisc collection she does share my love of beer and has talked for ages about trying to brew her own. So last year as part of her Christmas I got her a brewing kit and we are now just enjoying out first brew:

It's come out tasting much better than we expected, very similar to Old Speckled Hen.
