You might be right about that, but I'll try one last time. Bitcoin is regulated now fwiw.

just finished my SENTAI FILMWORKS DVD reissue of Sakura Wars T.V. too bad it so often tends towards being rather wonky and uneven.

also, i could swear the writer(s) had a vendetta against Sakura.
she seems to get shafted in this series, every way to Sunday, by just about everyone and everything. i don't get it.

i mean, i realize a lot of people out there tend to harbor a strong general distaste for Good Girl "Waifu" Anime characters,
-even in Japan at times, it would seem- but this is indeed ridiculous, guys. let Sakura alone for half a moment, already.

anyhow, SW T.V. was underwhelming/disappointing. in other news, Sakura came, and her head mates pretty seamlessly to an "N" (Natural) skin OBITSU BODY.

got plenty of work yet, between brushing Sakura's hair into shape, and altering the fit of her costume (modeled by a fellow Kosuke Fujishima Alumnus)
for the OBITSU doll body;

The U.S. is a strong fighter for copyright laws worldwide. You might even get into trouble for trying to
purchase that software as a U.S. citizen. Better try it anonymous with BTC or use a "free" version.
If you know what I mean with "free" that is... :)

Update: Mastercard order was successful.

yep. the original TAKARA body is significantly shorter, and no better articulated than that of the average BARBIE, which is to say, barely jointed at all...

i picked up both original SEGA SATURN releases of SW I and II about a decade ago for cheap.

i don't have a JPN console, but i've the SATURN GAME SHARK, which defeats regional lock out entirely for U.S. models.

i'd be in trouble, and have to resort to a JPN SATURN, if i was interested in any of the tiny handful of JPN SATURN softs
that require the system memory enhancement cartridge, but since i could generally care less about any of those, i'm good to go as-is.

i've also got the NIS 2010 PS2 edition of SW 5, -to date, the only SW entry to see official U.S. localization-
but, in all honesty, it is NOT very good at all...

OMG is it hard to get these delicate, feminine details right at this Figma-like scale, especially with somewhat-shaky hands!!!

well, i'm getting there, going to need to CAREFULLY clean the face up,
and soften/fine-tune that facial detail, without messing up what i've already accomplished. Oh God...

Image

one thing is for quite sure; actual MS kits are one hell of a lot easier to get looking just right, especially at a healthy-sized scale like 1/100...

Image

EDIT; Carefully, we're getting there...

Image

And, pretty much Finished.

i might attempt to improve things a little more, but i'm not so sure i can really do much better, at least at this tiny scale...

I like that they use the word “Dive” in the title. I’ve seen dive as a loan word in Japanese before, like when referring to doing a great deal of internet research on something, but it’s even more appropriate here. It’s a very very deep dive. You thought you’d were in the basement and then you see a set of stairs in the corner that lead to a sub basement that takes us even lower and further away from the light and the clean air than previously thought possible.

What’s puzzling is that I thought for sure when they started coming out with all these upskirt compatible Gundam models that we’d eventually see a revival of the “Cloth” (ironically not usually actual cloth) sorts of toys from the 80s, like the SD Patlabor figure that could wear a Labor suit. I though %100 that there would be an SD Amuro and Char with removable RX78/Zaku armor but his hasn’t happened yet for reasons I can’t imagine. It’s just dolls of characters nobody ever heard of that can pose in any sexual position imaginable. So much lower than Gundam that Dive is the only word to use.

There are a couple really nice looking Char figures but yeah not what you are talking about.

https://myfigurecollection.net/item/790809
https://myfigurecollection.net/item/764008

I'll get at least one eventually but there is some risk/reward with pre-ordering figures and since I have a limited budget I kinda just have to play roulette. Instead of the 2nd Char figure I linked to I went with a sweet a** Kenshin figure. Should have been here today but the post office sucks so probably Monday now. In any case the Char figure is now available used and the Kenshin figure is too early to tell but a couple stores that still have some available have marked it up (kinda like the first Char figure). The scene kinda annoys me sometimes but it's not like I can do anything about it except wait for re-issues.

There is another male figure of a classic character I grew up on coming out in September (unless it gets pushed back which happens a lot) that I need to make sure I have covered.

I was hoping for something like this: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/ ... -254120557 but coupling Amuro with RX78, Quattro with Type 100, Ral with Gouf, just keep doing it forever. I would buy probably 50 of them at least.

Seems like a license to print money but what do I know? Bandai seems to have complete lost the plot with SD. They make tons of it still but the magic is gone.

so she's cute, and i cannot resist cute Anime girls.

i guess that instantly qualifies me as a Pedo-Weeb-Basement-Dweller in this fine, Enlightened day and age,
all ripe and ready to be sent right off to the federal pen for the balance of my unholy, godforsaken life. well, So Be It.

Anyway, the whole "Dive" terminology has been fairly commonly used in Anime for quite some time, Actually.

in fact, the oldest instance of use i can recall was in 1983's "Genesis Climber MOSPEADA"

the "LEGIOSS" triple-form variable fighter, - studio ARTMIC's me-too flavor of the MACROSS VF-1, if you will -
has "ARMO-FIGHTER" "ARMO-DIVER" (GERWALK) and "ARMO-SOLDIER" (BATTROID) modes...

These days there is a lot of hand wringing about anime girls while real life girls are still being abused in sex crime rings. Better to target the harmless stuff so the real criminals can thrive tbh.
