i hear he collects reel to reel, i even met a guy once who claimed he traded them with him, and i hear he's boughten a few theaters just to make sure they play film instead of digital projections. So Do you think he'll be able to keep 35mm alive? Maybe he could even fuel a laserdisc comeback?

I already love and respect him for his body of work; these details just add the icing to the cake.

I reckon that Kill Bill would be one of those titles that would make a great laserdisc.

I reckon "Kill Bill" would be a good Blu-ray if it was put together as promised (The Whole Bloody Affair) and released uncut! I am TIRED of watching the Japanese DVDs which is the ONLY way to get the films uncensored!!!!!!!!!

I actually like how it turns black & white during the fight with the crazy 88s. I know it was to appeal to the censors, but I thought it was a cool stylistic choice. With the possibility of a third film I think it's good to keep them as two separate volumes.

He bought The New Beverly Theater, which is a revival theater here in Los Angeles. I'm glad the theater is still in existence, as I used to watch double features of old movies there often. The downside is that the theater has to cater to Tarantino's tastes every so often. (In my opinion Tarantino likes a lot of junk, and I usually avoid the theater when it features those films.)

You must have not yet seen the full version; the film was gutted of violence not just going from colour to B/W...
If you don't have the Japanese DVDs then you have not seen the film yet.
