Can someone please PM me instructions for blocking people? It clicked on a lot of stuff but I don’t see it. I need to power wash this forper tool off my screen for good. He really doesn’t have one redeeming characteristic that comes to mind. He loves dreaming about killing and war but isn’t in the service. Talks s**t about dead war orphans. Hates charity. He’s an enemy to life as far as I’m concerned and I wish that somehow violated forum rules but it doesn’t so I need to censor his stupid a**.

I wish he did punch that guy. Then he’d be in jail for a while and the forum would get a break for a day or two. Hating everything on earth except Sony is a tiresome pose.

I don't think it's possible on this forum.

On the topic of human life I came across this the other day and thought it was awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcNxY4T ... e=youtu.be

Under your account on the forum not the database you need to select the friends and foes, put forper under your foes.

While there were some I wanted to do this with in the past I never did as I figure they may have one important thing to post one day
over my lifetime and I can always learn from people like this.

To either do or not do what they are doing.

This is what I try to do as well. It's very simple; if I get mad enough at somebody to consider blocking them, I still ask myself "do I ever see this person contribute anything meaningful to a conversation?", but if the answer is "no", in the blocklist they go.

And forper is far from being the worst person I've ever met online, despite some of his questionable comments.

To block someone on this (and many other php based) forums, enter the profile of whoever you want to ignore and press "add foe". Or you can go into your control panel, select "friends and foes" and add your names there, or remove them for that matter.

I must admit I was formerly very tired of anyone not sharing my opinion and therefore blocket whoever I felt didn't agree with me. Thankfully, everyone changes and so do I and respecting others' opinion is a very important act of understanding (at least to a certain degree). Therefore I must say I did remove the block I had on signofzeta for instance. We may not have gotten well together formerly but it's more often than not that I display his posts anyway and can at least feel some sort of empathy for him, despite not always sharing his point of view. :)

I can't say I've even felt the urge to check here, but since it wasn't super obvious that's why I was thinking you couldn't. I generally don't block people on forums. The main forum I have some people blocked on is a buy/sell/trade site (though the site is dwindling and more than anything it's just about the community at this point) and almost all of them were super low ballers and/or people that spam bump their overpriced listings (usually the people blocked do both go figure). The others were tripletopper (yes that one) and a guy that harassed me a bunch via private messages because he wanted to continue conversations I was done with. I even have since unblocked that guy I just know how he is so I tread very carefully around him now.

Ok, I got it done thanks to you guys. Now I can read the forum and still take a solid s**t the next day.

It’s very rare that I block anyone anywhere. One guy on the PCEFX forum in the decade or so I went there daily and now this guy. I hate to do it in general, especially here where the the user base is so so small, but he’s like a facist mosquito in the nostril of LDDB.com as far as I’m concerned and I don’t think I’ll miss much.

There was a Panasonic DMR-EZ47V at work today, it nearly had the cord cut & binned but I rescued it. No remote (you can get a Chinese one for around $20aud) but it had original manual so I went and tested it thoroughly. No issues.

It has $150aud on it now  Although a relevant card discount would make that $120aud.

Grabbed some junk for myself...Men in Black (VCD), Star Wars PT (DVD R2), Apocalypto (BD), a small bunch of random games and an odd CD titled "Super Game VCD 300". Appears to be NES/Famicom games.
Also got some LP plastic outer sleeves salvaged from miscellaneous crap.

Eh?
I know it isn't dirt cheap but those units usually sell for more than that even without remote and manual. I'm not sure why, it isn't even SVHS but maybe there's something significant about the upscaler inside...idk.

My component MD recorder came from the electronics bin at the school. The analog ins are blown but it’s otherwise great if for no other reason than titling discs.
