Oh mine too, totally. I remember at one time I used to know stuff, but now I'm old and don't know as much

SW won hands down.

I wonder what criteria they used. I mean, the Star Trek fandom pretty much invented shipping and Mary Sue so I don't know what could top that!

Lol what.

"Mary Sue" comes from a parody fanfic from 1973 that made fun of the typical Star Trek fanfics. And here's what wikipedia says about shipping:

Quote:
The activity of fans creating relationships for fictional characters far predates the term. The first "ship" that became widely popular and accepted was the characters Kirk and Spock from the television show Star Trek. This began in the mid-1970s,[1] and was often referred to as Kirk/Spock, and later "K/S". This is why relationships between two men are now often referred to as "slash".

Aren't you glad to know this?[/quote]

To add to this I just picked up for 50 cents The Nitpickers Guide for Classic Trekkers hardcover.
This hopefully have some great stuff that I will laugh about while watching TOS

To sidetrack this topic, I just watched Aquaman WOW I told my wife if I didn't play this one game that I would never be able to watch it.
All the CGI bouncing around and such made me dizzy, also the actors were hardly in the film as it felt like it was almost 90% CGI with no actual actors
boosting through the water.

If it weren’t for people’s need to identify and worship/hate celebrities we could ditch the actors completely.

What did you think? I thought it was a pretty solid start, loved the soundtrack way more than I thought I would, but I'm worried that
[Reveal] Spoiler:
the baby yoda plot point might turn stupid if they don't handle it well.

Yeah your spoiler kinda worries me a little. But whatever, I'm just glad I enjoyed what I've seen so far. This seems much better than any cartoons but we'll see how it develops :D

My mind is totally blown today. I should have finished painting my 2 windows rather than this mind blown day.

Dammit, I can't find the thread where we discussed Cozzilla! Did it get deleted or does the search just suck?

I think it does because it couldn't procure this post either. :?

Search is pretty poor but don't remember how much we talked about it.
Would love to have a hardcopy of Cozzilla on DVD or I would even break my rule and pay for a BR of that one.

Maybe there's another thread somewhere from before I came here (and I haven't noticed it), but I do know the movie in question was mentioned in this thread:

I managed to find it eventually. "Advanced search" still lets you use the old search instead of the google API at least.

Just saw The Rise of Skywalker
I had very low expectations as I dislike the other Disney trilogy movies, but still wasn't impressed at all.

The Mandalorian has been very good so far though (I watched ep 7 the other day).

I had a good chuckle making this one. I've been enjoying the hell out of this show, and I can't wait for the Finale. I'm glad the director of Episode 7 is handling the Kenobi show.

And Ep.8 director will be Taika "Ragnarok" Waititi who's already impersonating one of the droids in the show.

Yup! He's been a favorite film maker of mine since his short film, and it's theatrical follow up "What we do in the Shadows" one of my top vampire films.

I have't seen any of these Mandalorian episodes. Is it worth it?
I agree with the owner of this topic that Rogue One is solid. The rest I wouldn't pay a cent to see again.
It even went so far that I started to actually appreciate the prequals now after seeing episode 7-9.

I liked it but I liked it after like 3 episodes in. I had very low expectations and my prejudice due to other new SW movies didn’t allow me to like it right away. The cast is very strong. Far better than the movies and on par with rogue one. They introduced giancarlo esposito as the main villain towards the end and believe me he is great. So the next season is very promising.

Do you like westerns is a question you should ask yourself. It's basically a western in tv show format set in the SW universe.
