I mean, the Star Trek fandom pretty much invented shipping and Mary Sue so I don't know what could top that! Lol what. "Mary Sue" comes from a parody fanfic from 1973 that made fun of the typical Star Trek fanfics. And here's what wikipedia says about shipping: Quote: The activity of fans creating relationships for fictional characters far predates the term. The first "ship" that became widely popular and accepted was the characters Kirk and Spock from the television show Star Trek. This began in the mid-1970s,[1] and was often referred to as Kirk/Spock, and later "K/S". This is why relationships between two men are now often referred to as "slash". Aren't you glad to know this? [/quote] To add to this I just picked up for 50 cents The Nitpickers Guide for Classic Trekkers hardcover. This hopefully have some great stuff that I will laugh about while watching TOS

All the CGI bouncing around and such made me dizzy, also the actors were hardly in the film as it felt like it was almost 90% CGI with no actual actors boosting through the water. Related: https://news.avclub.com/a-tight-product ... 1838096785If it weren’t for people’s need to identify and worship/hate celebrities we could ditch the actors completely.

Yeah your spoiler kinda worries me a little. But whatever, I'm just glad I enjoyed what I've seen so far. This seems much better than any cartoons but we'll see how it develops

Maybe there's another thread somewhere from before I came here (and I haven't noticed it), but I do know the movie in question was mentioned in this thread: Criterion Showa Era Godzilla Box Set

"Advanced search" still lets you use the old search instead of the google API at least.

Just saw The Rise of Skywalker I had very low expectations as I dislike the other Disney trilogy movies, but still wasn't impressed at all. The Mandalorian has been very good so far though (I watched ep 7 the other day).

He's been a favorite film maker of mine since his short film, and it's theatrical follow up "What we do in the Shadows" one of my top vampire films.

superemail wrote: I have't seen any of these Mandalorian episodes. Is it worth it? I agree with the owner of this topic that Rogue One is solid. The rest I wouldn't pay a cent to see again. It even went so far that I started to actually appreciate the prequals now after seeing episode 7-9. I liked it but I liked it after like 3 episodes in. I had very low expectations and my prejudice due to other new SW movies didn’t allow me to like it right away. The cast is very strong. Far better than the movies and on par with rogue one. They introduced giancarlo esposito as the main villain towards the end and believe me he is great. So the next season is very promising.
