Currently listening to the following music as I type. I shall listen to more when I arrive home from work, and chill out this evening. The below are examples of personal taste, many other genres besides these, 1) Hammock - Afraid to Forget (Silencia) Just released band based in Nashville USA. (youtube) 2) Jhann Jhannsson Orphée (youtube) Johann Johannsson - Good Morning, Midnight & Good Night, Day. Theatre Of Voices - Jóhannsson: Orphic Hymn. Jóhann Jóhannsson / "Fragment II". Jóhann Jóhannsson - A Sparrow Alighted Upon Our Shoulder. Jóhann Jóhannsson - By the Roes, and by the Hinds of the Field. A Deal with Chaos. Jóhann Jóhannsson / "A Pile Of Dust". 3) Vangelis - El Greco | Movement IV. 4) Eskostatic - Suggestive. 5) Sonic Mayhem - Futureland (feat. Power Glove.) 6) The Love Parade (extended) - The Dream Academy. 7) Waterloo - The Dream Academy. 8) Jon Jenkins Shrouded (Pure escapism music that invigorates ones soul.) I mostly order from specialist subscribed websites from around the World. CD / SACD / LP are my formats of choice, with which I listen to my music however I do stream and shall hopefully be purchasing a music media player in the not to distant future, just to cover all of the bases. 24 Bit studio master purchase downloads shall be on my priority list Take Good care of yourselves everyone, and thank you for being members here, it's always refreshing when visiting this site / forum and is a unique experience. Kindest Regards |

While I own CD and Vinyl, I mostly listen to CDs as my car has a CD player and I use my DVD player at home for music listening. BUT I just picked up some vinyl that really isn't on CD yet. https://www.discogs.com/Mandr%C3%A9-Mandr%C3%A9/master/236577 https://www.discogs.com/Mandr%C3%A9-Mandr%C3%A9-Two/master/163474 Have listened to some on youtube so I think I will like it, very much like early Daft Punk, even his masks have definitely inspired Daft Punk. Then just listening to CDs I have, my wife goes for more newer alt music. She is listening to Yola, Nicky Lane, Sturgle Simpson and a bunch of other stuff in that vein. |

Right now, listening to KRS One Return of the Boom Bap FLAC rip through external DAC to amp and speakers on my desktop setup: ![]() My main setup is packed away, normally I listen to CDs. I recently got a modern walkman (Sony NW-ZX300) and that prompted me to rip all 700 of my CDs to FLAC. I made a personal rule that I will never have anything on my HDD or walkman that I don't own in hard copy on my shelf as well. It just feels right. The next stage after I finally move is to make PCM rips of all my music LDs and DVDs for portable listening. |

I am actually listening to a tape that arrived by post yesterday. It is the soundtrack to the pilot episode of Star Trek The Next Generation: Mission Farpoint. This tape sounds excellent in my Nakamichi deck. This is easily one of the best prerecorded tapes I have heard so far and no drop outs even after 30+ years. I just love the soundtrack / score to the entire Star Trek series. I also quite frequently listen to the Star Trek TNG Ron Jones Project. Easily one of the best sounding CDs I have heard in a long time. Extremely well mastered. It sounds like coming straight from the master tapes. One of my favourite releases of all times. |

Few days ago I listened to the Tangerine Dream soundtrack to Sorcerer on cassette, had to test the tape and also a walkman I'm going to sell. That soundtrack was great and now I need to look for the CD or breakdown and get the LP. |

Recently: Records: Jan and Dean Meet Batman (like a dumb version of Firesign Theater) Miles Davis - A Love Supreme (180g, extreme separation, transforms a main room into a club) Edgard Varèse Poème électronique for magnetic tape (1958, amazing!) Explorer - a demo record for a home organ, otherwise lame but has an amazing Bach means Batman thing on it). Peanut Butter Jelly Time (remix 12” from 12-15 years ago, not original release, R.I.P. Jermaine Fuller) Streaming: Lots of early Bob and Ray when they talk almost exclusively about NYC and sound high all the time That episode of The Odd Couple with Roy Clark Richard Feynman lectures from roughly the same period as the Bob and Ray stuff |

The max Retro. Vinyl was nearly dead in Japan by the time the Mega Drive came out and the MD itself could play CDs so an LP of the OST is a throwback too far for authenticity’s sake, IMO. That doesn’t mean it can’t go further though. I demand the Golden Axe OST be remastered and released for Edison wax cylinder. |

I really love listening to Tidal. It is worth every penny! They have a lot of good stuff in Master quality and some of it sounds absolutely amazing. As a huge Mylène Farmer fan ( French singer that hardly anybody knows outside of the francophone part of this world ) I was thrilled to find out this week that they are offering her maxi singles in Master quality. It is a huge upgrade quality wise to the previous CD releases. It is like night and day. It is like comparing the first edition release of Predator on DVD to its most recent UHD release release. Of course I also have a lot of her maxi singles on vinyl and they sound even better but this is already excellent. Tidal also has many other great artists and albums in Master quality such as part of the Prince catalogue, another artist whom I admire greatly. |

I still need to have a physical copy on my shelf of whatever I listen to. I recently ripped my CDs to FLAC for my new walkman but I refuse to download or stream anything for proper listening, it's cheating. Also I lose focus when I have too much choice. I listen to music podcasts to get ideas though. |

I also like having a physical copy, of course, but those releases in master quality are excellent. I also buy quite a lot of prerecorded tapes because they are very collectible in my view and have their own distinctive sound. But a digital copy in excellent quality most definitely is a welcome additon. |

Gorillaz or 80's pop musik mostly. Unfortunatly I have currently no room for my vinyl setup so it's either CD or streaming (Spotify) for the moment. |

Recently gave Type O Negative a chance. Loving October Rust! LP is expensive though so I'll just stick to streaming. Also the Ghost in the Shell S.A.C soundtracks are divine |
