yes and no.
I wasn't forced, it was age, the plastic on the older 80s toys were becoming brittle.
I had one robot from the early 80s, picked it up in late 90s one day I took the lid off and his head was rolling around inside :evil:

so I decided to cash in and let someone else take the risk on rolling heads :shh: :lol:

just yesterday (5/4/15) i happened across this AMAZING comics/collectables shop about a 45 minute drive away, in the nearby-ish city of RICHLAND, WA.

https://www.advunderground.com/

WOW what a trip!! i haven't been in a B&M storefront with so much Anime-related goodness in one place in like fifteen years now!
i was beginning to think such shops no longer existed outside major U.S. cities, but there we were!!!

of course, i just couldn't walk out empty handed;

Cool finds. I've driven past/through Richland many times and never had a reason to stop there. Will have to remember this place next time I head east.

That is a WEIRD town. I wouldn't be surprised to find someplace selling Mogwai.

hey peeps. i just got around, -after putting it off for a while now- to picking myself up a secondary spare of this generally under-appreciated 1/6 doll of my favorite female Anime character, Mikuru Asahina of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" fame.

my first example of her, i got back around 2009 or so, paid around $140shipped for her. this one, i found from a U.S. seller for $75shipped.

believe it or not, this now copy seems to have a much better face, with smoother paint apps. her face looks pretty well dead-on to the mfr. photos that had instantly sold me on her back in 2009. i had always thought something looked off about my first copy, and i had, somewhat disapointedly,
attributed it to the usual differences prototype and production example.

well i am certainly elated to see that that was actually not the case, and that my Mikuru, pretty much exactly as i had initially seen her, actually exists as a mass-product, and that i now have one of my own...

hi, guys. so, as a long-time Cardcaptor Sakura fan starved of product, the recent renewed interest in the series among Anime merchandise mfrs. has been a serious boon.
i found out about this brand new figure last year, and jumped right on her with a preorder for a MAY 2015 release, which was pushed back a month.

she finally shipped just a week ago, and mine just arrived yesterday;
