I guess I'm done searching for my LD boxset, since I generally don't double dip when it comes to movies and shows I own/want to own.

It comes with one extra disc which has the pilot and new series finale in 4K SDR (yes no HDR). All other discs are identical to the previous releases. Very good price if you don’t have the previous releases on Blu-ray.

I thought it was episode 8 of the new series, not the finale

The reviews of the box set design/quality are quite bad.

I actually cancelled my order when I saw the stupid sleeves for the discs, those things suck and they scratch discs

Usually blu rays are fine, but stuff like this is very annoying. The Zatoichi set from Criterion is in sleeves. Overall doesn't have some of the issues I saw in these reviews though.

Perhaps you are correct. I know only one episode from the new series.

Earlier releases aren’t much better. I happened to bought the first pressing of the original series and the new series on their release day one. $90 for one new disc is a bit high for me. If you don’t already own any of these then it’s a terrific deal.

If anyone is interested in buying this set and don’t care for the 4K disc, I can pay you $30 for the single 4K disc.

Would have done this with the set at $90 but the price is back up to $127. I'll try and keep my eyes on it to see if it dips again.
