Thanks for reminding me to do something with my jailbroken SNES Classic that's gathering dust!

Got Akira a week or so ago. Keeping it now a replacement disc program has been announced. Got The Exterminator this morning. Already have the promo Laserdisc which is truly uncut and doesn't have the vaseline optical smear (super rare to have that, discussed before on LDDB, as the vaseline smear was a self censorship move and all bar a handful of early negatives were self censored).

This blu will undoubtedly have the optical smear but it's still a whopper film. RIP Robert Ginty.

Also, random thing, found a farmers market stall this morning selling raw milk. I've been looking for a raw milk producer for ages. Got a bottle to try, literally straight from the cow's udders this morning.

The stuff is good for a week, you bring the bottle back washed out but don't put the lid back on it. First bottle is €3 inc glass bottle, subsequent refills are €1.50. It's poured straight from the churn, or metal bucket thing whatever it's called if it's not a churn, in to your glass bottle. Direct from udder to bucket to bottle. No BS. Pure raw milk.

Gave it a try this morning, it puts supermarket milk to shame. Absolute world of difference in taste, it really is. It's like supermarket milk, even full fat, is watered down and coloured to look pure white. Raw milk is more yellow and pours a little heavy but still runs freely, not like a cream or anything. Don't think i'll go back to shop bought milk for the a long time, unless i run short as the farmer only visits once a week as his farm is a good bit away.

Definitely give raw milk a try if you have access to it. It's well worth it.

Maybe they'll come to their senses and add the JP stereo track too.

Maybe I'm a Chinese jet pilot.

got in ink cartridges for my Epson Printer. Amazon is pretty quick on things wish I could get the stuff I order from other places now. They needed to overhaul the PO since I was little and now I don't think they can even repair it with everything that has gone on this year.

waiting 2 books and some belts which I probably will never see.

Told today that it was due to removing sorting machines at the post office.
Now all sorting has to be done manually and that's a bite.
Waiting for my DVD set from Chicago for over a month now.........

Yeah, they decommissioned hardware during a pandemic and also an election year.

How badly the Post Office is run is one of those things armchair politicians love to complain about, like mattress tags and transgender bathrooms and then when some real ish happens you realize what a luxury it is to even be able to complain about that stupid crap like that.

I’m a huge fan of the US Post Office, always have been. It’s sad they are stuck between angry customers and a movement to defund them. Much like NASA, they are sort of screwed no matter what they do and it gets worse when they are expected to earn a profit.

**** Dejoy. I will miss the USPS if it does go away. I was more than fine with it being subsidized by taxes.

I'm sending a package with a sizable value (after Christmas) and it saddens me but I will use UPS, I just can't risk USPS right now.

I know some people love this one and some love that one.
I use fedex, it was pretty easy to open an account and its cheaper when you do use your account, I'm sure UPS is the same but I've just used fedex for
years now.

So even if you use once or twice a year it may be worth it for you to open the account.
Just remember to drop off, otherwise they will charge a pickup fee.
And use their little plastic envelopes for your label or they do something else?? Can't remember right now.

I think the post office should be fully apart of the government and not be quazi or even private like it is.

Yeah but the really messed up part is that if the post office branches off of the teat then we will lose media mail and first class big time.
they just lose money due to offering these cheaper services and I don't think they've ever been used to this extent in the entire time of
having the post office.

All those books, DVDs, CDs, LDs, Blurays, any media is going media mail and all those people buying pallets of books etc are dumping on ebay, amazon
and other places like that.

What I wonder is why the Post Office is supposed to make a profit but no other government service is. The military “loses” a trillion dollars a year and nobody is cancelling maneuvers or jet fighter programs. They pillage zero we can use these days, drop a bunch of bombs, p**s of her generations of people, can’t even steal anything or conquer a place worth owning like Hawaii or Texas like in the old days...but the Post Office is supposed to deliver a letter to the other side of the planet for $1 and make money at it? Why? It’s a friggn trap, seriously. What idiots we are to buy into that BS. The State Department...$55B a year...well, where’s the payoff?

I'm guessing they're deliberately sabotaging USPS just so private postal service companies can move in their former turf when they collapse. Nobody is cancelling maneuvers or jet fighter programs because those are profitable for the military-industrial complex. It is not enough for the corporations to get all the government funding; nobody else must get anything.

Couple of box sets and a 4K today.

Female Prisoner Scorpion collection, Phantasm collection, House collection and Gunnm.

Some cheeky fecker opened the House set and put the discs back in to make it look like damaged packaging. Whatever thief did that, probably to dump the discs and send them back for a refund, didn't put the cases back in the right way round. This is confirmed when watching any unboxing video of this set on YouTube. Already started an RMA to send it back for a replacement.

Some people really are scum of the Earth. What a shame.

I wanted to get the Phantasm box set but they ditched the bonus disc from the LE for the standard release. I already have the LE but it has probably the worst packaging ever :(

Wait, so you bought House and received it open???? Someone bought it before opened it and returned it?
I totally understand the concept that you paid for new and want to open it etc.

But did they take anything inside of it???

I remember buying a CD at Virgin over 20 years ago and it was a 3 CD set in regular jewel case but they didn't open it to see that someone
took a disc out and re-sealed it to return it.
Luckily the checkout was kind and took the return back otherwise I would have been out money and missing a disc.

I got the Powerpuff girls from Walmart one time that came in white cases. Yet someone bought it before and changed the cases to Wii cases. I didn't notice when I first bought it and it was a while before I actually watched the series so I didn't know at first.

Finally got hold of the remote for the Pioneer LG-1 graphics decoder.
Now it's complete and working.
