Inject as much 3D content in to my retinas as possible!

You need that Inazuman disc, its actually really cool.

Inazuman: vol.4 [LSTD01249]
Only the film is in widescreen.

I guess I didn’t realize these were all 3D. That explains a lot of it. Metallica sucks in all dimensions though.

Not sure about that. Their S&M 2 disc is quite good. Anything up to and including the Black Album is good by me! Death Magnetic was pretty good too imho.

More tat arrived today. Drowning in 3D!

Cars 2 3D, Cars 3 3D, Coral Reef 3D, Green Hornet 3D and lastly the just released 50th Anniversary edition of Duel (it's really a repackage of the previous and now long OOP Blu only with new art and a nice poster).

It's a shame the ABC network broadcast version isn't included in this pack, but it's available on the Internet Archive anyway.

I remember the first time I saw Duel on television in the late 1980's. It's just a wonderful, masterfully made film. One of my favourites of all time. No contest.

I absolutely love The Dual. Cars 2 on the other hand...

Is the Glasstron for the wankmag?

Keen to read what you think of the Glasstron. It was something I came across (no pun intended) when researching the HMZ headsets.

@Zeets:

Duel is just magnificent. I like both cuts. I don't like the rejigged audio on the later releases though.

Not a fan of Cars 2 either but I know of some folks who are. Out of the three probably the first is best, although the third is pretty good too.

Only purchased it for that cover girl because well she stands out from other bland Japanese models / actresses.

The glasstron is quite fun. It is very comfortable, the picture quality is solid ( I use S-video ). The aspect ratio of the screens is 4:3 since it's a late 90s product. Tried both DVD's and Laserdiscs and they are all enjoyable to watch.

No it was a theatrical release. It's far better than Cars 2 (from an adult opinion on it anyway).

@therussian Glasstron sounds interesting. It was actually your take on the HMZ-T2 that got me looking at the HMZ-T3 as an alternative to a projector setup for 3D and Laserdiscs etc. Thanks.

More tat today.

Got a set of carbon Black Diamond's for an upcoming ultramarathon. Also got another bucket of 3D Blu's! This time round I got Aquaman 3D, Passengers 3D, Men In Black 3 3D, Pacific Rim 3D (with lenticular slip cover). Also an oddity in the German Blu of In Bed With Madonna (Truth Or Dare in the USA). This one was OOP for years on VHS and Laserdisc. I 'think' it got a DVD release though I'm not 100% sure.

There is a limited edition that comes with the 1979 Nudes photobook. I don't really want to see Madonna's tractorclunge so I just got the standard edition.

I wasn't aware a 3D edition existed until I stumbled on this disc. It's on Jeff's German online store if you want to pick up a copy.

Have you watched it to verify? I was looking for information and a quick Google translate of a German review on Amazon claimed that it resembled a 2D projection onto an inverted screen in 3D space. Also, I couldn't locate the online store you mentioned.

At this point in history they were good for five years, terrible for 35...not worth anyone’s time. There are bands that have been good that whole time that deserve the attention.

Buy the first four albums and call it a day, the rest is not worth your time (except maybe for Metallica: The $24.98 Laser Video Disc: Cliff 'Em All (1987) [40106-6] obviously).

If they had all died in a bus accident in 1988 I would have “all four” albums for sure.

The fact that they turned to crap and then became the biggest band in the world and basically ruining the metal industry for a decade while everyone cut their hair and switched to black t shirts in an attempt to ape the success...unforgivable. And they are bigger assholes than Kiss and Dr Dre put together. For me that goes a long way.

That orbiter model looks great! I wish I had the skill to build and paint model kits.

More tat today. The 3D blu bug is tightening it's grip on my soul. And I love it.

I got Avengers End Game 3D, Hugo 3D, The Martian 3D and Mad Max Fury Road 3D. Not sure if I'll like Mad Max 3D as my favourite version so far is the black and chrome version.

Also got a couple of good quality figure 8 plugs (one not shown) for my HMZ-T3. Both the processor box and battery charger are multivoltage, the T1 and T2 are not. Another plus point for the T3. Also, no more need to use travel adaptors!

Got a USB-C to HDMI cable to allow my phone to plug in to the HMZ-T3 and other displays. Also a few HDMI cables (not shown) for a recabling project I'm planning.

3D blu is great fun. All these discs are complimenting my other 3D collections nicely.

Top recommendation by the way. Have a look at 3D Blu Ray Bunker on Alphabet's streaming video platform. Yer man is brilliant. He reviews 3D discs purely based on the 3D quality and does a short film review at the end. A great idea and very watchable with lots of knowledge packed in.

Just got the 4K steelbook of Last Action Hero. I was disappointed to discover that all the new bonus features touted on the press release are only on the 4K discs, which I can't watch - the standard blu-ray is just a straight up re-release of the old one!

The 3D Blu fever continues to ravage and consume my soul! A few items arrived in the post, also today I happened to pass a store selling pre-owned Blu's.

I managed to bag Star Wars VII 3D, I Frankenstein 3D and Underworld Awakening 3D for a good deal. I got Frozen 3D too but it only had the Blu disc in it and not the Blu 3D disc.

New stuff is Dawn.of the Planet Of The Apes 3D, Dumbo 3D, Pompeii 3D, Despicable Me 2 3D and two of the three Hobbit Extended Edition 3D sets.

As Billy Idol once sang "In the midnight hour! She cried MORE 3D!"

3D Blu takeover is in full effect!
