My poor car was literally full as can be My state goes into 5 day lockdown starting midnight tonight, to help contact tracing with an outbreak of UK variant. pics of the car I emptied it as soon as I got home, well before I posted Oh yeah, forgot to mention I got a Washburn Disney Hanna Montana electric guitar, excellent condition in original box Tested the 2 tv's I got... The little 13" crt works fine It's just a crappy Hicon brand, has stereo speakers and headphone jack. Composite in and out on the rear, plus front composite. On the back it seems there was a variant of this model with s-video out but mine doesn't have it, might have to pop it open and see what's missing and if it can be added in. System is PAL and both flavours of NTSC, on screen menu and looks like the rightness settings and stuff haven't been messed around with much at all. Picture is good but this isn't "flatscreen". Remote is working well too, buttons are fine and battery compartment is clean. This is a good portable test tv for old stuff, I haven't had one for years now. The panny feckin' works No screen burn or anything, I can't see anything wrong with the panel at all Haven't checked out all the inputs yet but front HDMI and composite inputs are fine. This has s-video too, so I'm keen to see what my Laserdisc player looks like via composite and s-video on this panel The speakers on this are pretty damn good, I think it's only my Sony Trinitron crt that sounds better. Obviously my home theatre is way better than any tv speakers though. This isn't a Kuro, it's TH-42PZ800A (Viera). I'm sure some people will poo-poo this but whatever. I'm sick to death of seeing s****y Hitachi's with screen burn or other not working crap at work. Just glad this seems to be working well. These two tv's and the petrol mower (that is close to new) cost me $10aud total It was definitely a gamble with the tv's though.

Does PAL and NTSC. The speakers sound good. The screen is amazing for something built in 2008, the hitachi's I've seen look like rubbish compared to this. I'm pretty happy about it. Besides getting a HD capable crt (which is a hard find here locally) I've completed my tv collection now I guess as I'm not interested in rear projection.

I don't have that model but I mentioned getting a TC-P50ST50 (also a Viera) awhile back and honestly it's a rather impressive tv. 2012 model so slightly newer but not by a ton. It is loaded with inputs as well, which is something fairly common (and nice) about these plasmas and hd crts. I had a rear projection at one point and ended up giving it away. Don't see a point in getting another. Between the hd crt, plasma, 4k projector I'm pretty well covered. I've also got a pvm and pc crts for if I really feel the need to "zero" lag gaming.

I still don't have 4k anything yet but it isn't a huge priority atm. Edit: Actually, I do have an Xbox One S and I do own some 4k BD titles but I don't feel an urgent need for a 4k screen or projector atm.

gypsy wrote: Yeah for me it was just a case of a deal came up on a projector in great condition so I jumped on it. Wasn't planning to adapt 4K yet. Yeah I would probably consider a great deal if I came across one. But now I've got two 1080p panels larger than 40", plus the 32" Trinitron crt there isn't really any room I'd have to retire something, probably the 1080p LCD as it's just cheap and only 50/60Hz (so nothing special about it, well I guess it does have a bunch of composite and component inputs but it isn't a great panel imo).

Just got this thing, courtesy of gypsy; Unfortunately I only had the cables to get it hooked up to route the signal from my old PC right now so there's no benefit of using it there, in fact it actually looks a little bit worse - I did remember I had an S-Video cable as well so I routed the signal from the DVD/VHS combi through it and that looks fine, unfortunately there's no sound because of the way the cables and inputs are configured, so I guess I will need those Phoenix adapters too after all.

Another cheap crt for pocket change. Centrex stereo 34cm with s-video and component inputs. Still sealed in original box, unused Also with the above I got: ATGames Atari Flashback 3, with 2 controllers and manual (missing box and power supply). Another PS3 slim (CECH2502A), no controllers. Ordered a GDEMU (clone) v5.15b a couple of weeks ago. Package arrived last week, but the board was v5.15 (so 2 months earlier build with plastic SD slot). Contacted seller and told them they sent an older version by mistake. They didn't want it returned and offered me 50% refund. Put in a return ticket, they offered me 50% again and still didn't want it returned. I asked for 80% refund. Waited 2 days and now the 80% is coming back I already have a mount kit and SD card extension cable for it (separate order that arrived last week). Pico PSU for DC should arrive before the end of the week hopefully.

Likely nothing of interest to anyone but here it is anyway. Stuff for my Ironman training. I bought a couple of new saddles, one for my road bike the other for the MTB on my turbo trainer and a second bottle cage for my road bike. Need to pack more fluids on board now as the weekend endurance brick sessions are starting to ramp up now. 60km, 70km, 90km, 100km etc followed by a 3km or 5km run as soon as you finish your cycle ride (hence a brick session). A second cage will let me take on two 750ml insulated bottles of fluids. Isotonic, water etc... to help wash down the gels and flapjacks! Got a chunky gel saddle for my MTB as spending 4 hours on a turbo trainer will leave you with an arse like the flag of Japan, no matter how much chamois cream you rub on your hole! Also got an upgraded saddle for my road bike, the SP-01 Boost TM Superflow. This is the limited edition Tour de France design. The saddle is the same.as the other superflow ones in the range, it just has manganese rails so isn't as expensive as the same saddle with higher end rails. To be honest, unless you and your bike combined weigh less than your birth weight and you are in to sketchy blood transfusions and so on, just get the cheaper saddle in the range. Both saddles are by Selle Italia. Both have cut outs to drop your plums through (or your clunge). Whether the cut outs make any difference I have no idea. We'll find out tomorrow...
