Post subject:  Ebay Seller claims there is no tracking number
I order an asuka figure from Japan and did Fedex international shipping. The seller claims there isn't a tracking number and I have to wait for 8 weeks due to virus. I feel like this scam some how. the message seems a typical form letter.

what do you think?

FedEx without tracking seems unlikely.

Was it shipped standard small packet airmail without tracking to save on cost but still billed for FedEx shipping?

I am wondering. I could reply with I paid for Fed Ex shipping. It should have a tracking number.

I forgot and Julien reminded me, all fedex has tracking its just built in.
Don't waste time just slap them, open the case, I had to convince my wife to do so on a pair of jeans that came in the wrong color.
She contacted them and nothing when I said you should open the case it was fixed right away.

I literally never had a case that I didn't got a tracking nr. when I shipped something from Japan.

Yeah, it's insane for them to even consider shipping untracked. Too easy for someone to lie and say they never got it. Plus as reino said everything with fedex is tracked.

Fedex without tracking number does seem odd.
But pre-covid I have bought some items from Japanese sellers on ebay without tracking number, economy shipping. I remember at least one item never turned up and I had to put in a ticket, full refund no problem without having ebay step in.

got the refund. I didn't open a claim as I couldn't figure out how to do that before the time has passed before it gets here. But I paid $15 extra which was refunded but the whole purpose of that was keep track of it and I live in an Apartment so I don't want my packages lying around that long. Asuka better be mint after all this.

Got it and everything is ok. Stiil why the other option though? oh well I'm happy.
