I can't find who it is behind the Reely Interesting channel on Alphabet's video sharing platform. I'm 91.683799924% certain it's someone here but I forget who.

Just wanted to publicly say thank you for the great content you share whoever you are. The 3D VHD of Dead Heat you posted was whopper. I will hook up my PSVR at some point just to watch it!

Ah great! For some reason I was struggling to find his posts and just knew I'd seen them on LDDB before. Thanks!

Yes, I communicated with him via e-mail before. He is a very knowledgeable person and he captured these HDVS videos on his YouTube channel himself. He told me he actually bought
two broken HDVS units and used one unit to fix the other one. That is really cool.

Indeed! All the captures on his YouTube channel are superb but one that really blows me away is the Muse/Hi-Vision “Ordinary Europe” title; spoilt only by the unavoidable YouTube compression artefacts, I could imagine the quality from the actual Hi-Vision LD is on a par with BD. Though of course those HDVS titles are in a league of their own!

I like the music stuff like T Square and Toshiyuki Honda also the AHD, WVHS and 3D VHD stuff. Great to see!

I wanted to get the Toshiyuki Honda Laserdisc 'Night Sounds' some time ago. Just never got round to it so it's great to see it on Alphabet's streaming platform.

Notice Shakatak Twilight Sensation is captured there too. As correctly pointed out, the compression applied wrecks it as the actual disc is so much better. Wait til you hear Shakatak Da Makani!

Yep...it was on the strength of your tip off that I got hold of Twilight Sensation and the PQ (never mind the SQ) on this LD is amazing, you really don’t expect video of 1984 vintage on any disc format to look that good - even when projected on a +2m diagonal 4:3 screen. I’m reckoning that YouTube isn’t revealing the full quality of Reely Interestings excellent captures?

Not got a copy of Da Makani yet but it’s still on my shopping list
