I agree, I have started going through all my discs again regardless. I started coping discs to dvd a few years ago and humanoids was one I ripped. I have to find it and look it over to see what is up. Ironically, I actually remember watching that one specifically because lddb had it marked as possible and I wanted to make sure it was ok.

What is upsetting is when you ask the seller to check it & they said it was ok then you find out later after you left feedback that the end of side 1 & all of side 2 is full of rot. It Happened One Night DADC pressing.

The one I bought from Mikey was the later 1997 pressing which you would think would be better but it was rotted.
The rot was most prominent on Side B - black flecks, coloured speckles and audio even degraded. Side A had a hint of speckling at the start but played clean afterwards.

I agree completely. I was playing a disc the other night and that is exactly what happened. I had done a quick scan of start, middle and end on both sides when it had first arrived and it seemed great. When I sat down and watched the whole movie the other night there was a 3 minute section just at a random point in the disc when the rot kicked in (really bad too) and then it was as clean as a whistle afterwards. I don't blame a seller for not spotting that as you'd have to watch every movie from start to finish but it is very annoying.

i believe i have a disc that is like that, i would still keep it and not upgrade since it's just a 1-2 minute part on my disc.

Yeah, I am going through all the doac discs and the other discs. Have found a few here and there and have been yanking them. Thank goodness for fast forward. My biggest issue is figuring out a crappy pressing and minor rot. I usually try to go by the sound.
