Hey everyone

I purchased a Aiwa LV-X200 and I seem to have an issue with it. When I plug it in I hear a loud clicking sound. I opened it up and noticed that the tray was locked into place and the Laser Mechanism also stuck. The player is on when it is plugged in but will not do anything else.

Any suggestions on how to sort this out?

UPDATE: so I replaced the belt. Old one was fine but thought I would do it anyway. Same issue. Display all everything lighted up on it. Probably would cost more in Australia to get it looked at than what I paid for it but not too sure if I should give up on it.

This is a player nobody knows.
To get any advice I would make a video of the problem, so that the folks that know how to repair players can make suggestions.
Also be sure to include a view of the backside so someone could guess if this player is a clone of a certain Pioneer unit.

If it’s an Aiwa and it’s a clone I’m afraid that probably means it’s a clone of a…a Sony. I’m sorry.
