| Post subject: | Anyone unfroze a dvl spindle motor? |
Hi all, I have just worked on a dvl-700. Recapped the power supply and replaced a bad cap on the front button board. Everything appears to be working with the exception of the spindle motor. It’s frozen solid. I put a few drops of turbine oil in the bearing and am just waiting to try and move it again. Has anyone actually gotten one of these motors free this way or should I be looking for a 1057 motor? Thank for any replies! - Jeff |

Just my $.02, but DVL motors are relatively plentiful. I'd recommend replacement rather than repair. |
