hi there I have just bought a cld -2850 laserdisc player and it has a optical output. I didn't know that there was optical in 1993 when this player was made, I thought it was made a lot later than that. is it ok to connect the optical out on the player to a modern amp? if so do I need to connect the phono and the optical as well for analog and digital audio? thanks for any help
