Hey all, The last reference I see to someone selling modkits was www.benedictus.de, but I can't find them in their store any more (have sent an email to ask). Does anyone else sell these? |

Does anyone else sell these? I emailed with them a year ago and they were still selling them for, I believe, $80 for all the major LaserDisc players. They were/are the last company to sell mod kits although MSB said they would still do them for like $350, which is stupid considering Duncan will do it for $100 or so. |

Good day substance, I purchased my mod kit from: http://www.benedictus.de for 60 euro's plus postage. I live in the UK so this wasn't to far to come from Europe. I still need to have this installed into my new Elite CLD-97 at some point, by a Pioneer Service centre in Oxford UK. I shall be looking at around £200 at most to have this installed.....£50 per hour labor charge. Duncan of bayview used to sell these mod kits for around £120.....Dollars would be cheaper thou of course. (not sure if this gentleman is still servicing or installing thou) I hope he is because his reputation within, the knowledgeable Laserdisc enthusiast circles is up there with the best. I hope you get yours soon sir' Kind Regards |

I bought a kit from benedictus about 2 years ago for my CLD-97. Works well. Not to hard to do, I wrote a guide for how to do the mod yourself which walks you through step by step with tons of pictures. It's really not that hard and much cheaper than sending it away for someone else to do it for you (although I give a high recommendation for Duncan if your willing to send it to the US, and yes he is still active at Bayview Electronics). Here is the guide topic: http://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1110&hilit=ac3+mod |

The guide done by Invenio made the whole installation very easy for me (thx again). The kit sold by Mr. Dohmen was topnotch, I can only recommend it. http://www.benedictus.de/bde/index-bde-d.htm |
