Hi,

Is there a european (or even french, as per my location) equivalent product to polish scratched LDs ?
I can buy Novus from US sellers but shipping is a bit expensive.
I saw another post using some car polish or wheel (metal) polish but some people don't recommend it at all.
Seeing all the feedback of Novus users I prefer asking.

Thanks,

David

Are they THAT badly scratched?

It takes quite some energy to damage a LD.
Even cutting a record on a LD will still let the video play!

Hi Julien,

I've seen the video on Youtube with someone using a LD to cut a LP and still being able to play the video. Impressive !
I'm asking for the sake of having something that works should I get a defect LD or badly scratched.
And who knows, I would also be happy to use it to polish a few CDs I like and don't want to buy again :)

By the way I just emailed you a better photo of the Orange Road sleeve for the database.

Regards,

David

Look for any CD polish, it won't be great as Novus is a 3 part, you only really need 2 parts.

Also check under the pinball section, someone closer to you could be selling it, they use it for polishing the playfield on pinball games.

Would Novus be able to polish turntable dust covers ?
If so I'll definitely get it. I have a nice Denon which needs polishing. Nothing deep but getting a uniform surface would make it look a bit nicer.
A bit off topic but as far as the same product can help on two fields I'll opt for it.
Thanks for your answers !
