Okay - so I've been starting to collect the DTS Digital Surround Sound Laserdiscs. I'm not sure if my Laserdisc is compatible with Digital Audio Out - however it is listed on the specs that I have
1) Digital Audio output; 1 kHz, -20dB
2) Analog Audio output; 1 kHz, 40% modulated
I'm still relatively new to researching Surround Sound Systems and Demodulators and Recievers - So I'm hoping since Laserdisc is an older format I can find a system that isn't too costly. Honestly, I'm no audiophile - It would just be nice to have a home theatre setup to showcase my collection of Laserdiscs. I know with DTS you need a decoder - So I started looking those up online which doesn't seem to be too costly however my Laserdisc player does not have an Optical Output for sound (I'm assuming my Digital out is through composite? Which doesn't make any sense..but again I have no clue).
Heres a picture of the back of my laserdisc player for reference
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction of what type of Decoder and Recievers I may need to look into; and if it is even possible at all with this player. I see there are a TON of DTS Laserdisc Films out there.
