I didn't think a 13 or 19 inch mattered, does it really??
Just less footprint in a workshop?

The size does not really matter. For NTSC resolution, a 19" TV was considered the best size to show the capable details of the format, larger TV's would start to look softer and easier to see scan lines. Plus that was just the size available when I was looking.

Ironically I just got a Runco LJR II with really bad crosstalk on side b and as stated above very small adjustment with disc playing got rid of crosstalk in literally 30 seconds. You turn the pot very slightly then wait for the tilt to adjust (you will hear it) and repeat until you find the sweet spot with no crosstalk. I only stress this to make life easier on people, no one needs to invest in scopes and test discs to fix most crosstalk regardless of what rein-o keeps arguing. (I have a scope and it would have taken me longer to hook it up than what the fix took me). If this doesn't work you can always then move on to scope adjustments but why not start with the simple adjustment first...

This is for Panasonic (literally labeled tilt a and tilt b), right is before and left is after (you can see how slight the adjustment was), very easy to get to with a 12" disc playing -

I never said you needed to buy the scope or test disc.
You don't need the test disc or scope, you can adjust just like you did or have said in the past.

I guess frame #115 is just a joke then and all the Pioneer techs that made players and test discs are fools for even using such stuff.....

And if you read from the beginning I was just trying to correct you.

You said it was all trial and error, if you don't have a disc or scope then yes it is trial and error.
You can still get a result of fixing but if you have the scope as our OP has and has a friend with the test disc then why not use them.

I don't believe he has had as many players as you have had.

I do also hope you keep posting, I want to get past 5000 posts before the end of this year

You are just being ridiculous. Obviously the Pioneer techs are long gone and if we want to keep these players running we have to do things ourselves and the majority of ourselves do not have test disc or scope. I will continue to try and help people and continue to develop my limited repair knowledge along with several others working to do the same, feel free to continue to your vendetta, personally I think what I am doing is more beneficial to everyone.

I will also help where I can.

I'm glad you fixed the player with your minor adjustment, I've done the same in the past too with good and bad results.
And I don't own any of the test gear you do.

Keep em spinning!!!!!
