I am currently working on a Pioneer CLD 3390 that had a bad pickup and am trying to realign the replacement laser.
I do have a Tektronix 2246 oscilloscope, Pioneer test disc GGV 1069, as well as a service remote.
I also have the service manual for the CLD 3090 as well.
However, I have a couple of questions. First, where is the grating on the pickup? Looking at a spare pickup, I can see something deep inside but not sure if that's it.
Next, I see some of the adjustments require an AF Oscillator and resistors. Do I need those as well to properly perform the said alignments?
Lastly, is there anywhere can get an eccentric screwdriver?
I have been able to get the pickup to track the test disc by adjusting VR602 (TRKG Balance), but it is quite sluggish in chapter search.
