Might still be interesting just for the visuals!

It shows where a bridge can be moved to change the 100/120/230V input, thermal fuse, and where to get the Service Manual.

Service Manual added (see topic Receivers and other equipments that support AC-3RF)

This video was very useful, even though I didn't understand a word.

I recently bought a MOD-RF1 off eBay for 'spares and repair', and found the problem was with the transformer.

Evidently the unit had been subjected to a physical shock at some point, and the hefty transformer had pulled itself apart - the pins remained soldered into the board, but had pulled out of the plastic base, breaking the connections from the pins to the windings, irreparably as far as I could see.

I ended up ordering the exact model of transformer used in the video (a Velleman 209009C, about £6 from Amazon) and installing it. I feel I made a slightly better job of this than the video maker though (if I may say so) in that I managed to use the 'bracket' that he discarded - after some trimming, I got bits of the lugs on each side under the screws that fix the PCB to the chassis, hopefully making the decoder immune to future physical shocks...
