I have a Marantz LV510U donor and a Denon LA-2500 that is in good shape except it is completely missing the FL Tube (front display).

I didn't want to risk damage to the FL Tube in the LV510U, so I swapped the entire FLKY board into the Denon. Marantz used different remote codes. I figured out how to convert it back to OEM. It is a bit tricky since the FL Tube covers a lot of it but easier than desoldering it.

1. Remove jumpers J102 and J103 (red and black wires) and jump W124
2. Remove jumper W144 and jump W143 (this sets pin 31 of IC101 from high to low)

The attached image is the LA-2500 board since the points are much more visible with the FL Tube gone. The circles mean jump, "X" is cut/remove.

Just be careful as there are multiple button configurations stored in the IC and the voltage levels on the pins load the desired configuration. So it will operate as a Pioneer unit but the functions labeled on the front may perform a different function, but the remote will work as it should.

Thanks Kurtis.

So far so good on the front panel buttons, I haven't done exhaustive testing but all seems fine. I pulled pin 31 low (OEMNO1 - OEM Select Port) and it did not work until I noticed J102, J103 and removed them. I haven't traced J102, J103 to see what they do.

I tried this on a ProScan CLD-2080 a while back where I pulled the FLKY IC low, but I assume there is something else that needs to be jumped or cut. I still have it as a donor unit so I might try getting it back to OEM remote as well.
