Just saw this original Sony laserdisc player "servo checker" on ebay. Interesting piece of specialized test equipment just for LD, given Pioneer's status with the format I wonder if they ever made anything like this?

An aside: thanks ebay for making it so hard to save pictures from a listing for posterity - I had to save the entire page to a folder and find this pic that way. Maybe this is just a firefox issue.

Sony later ditched this for the passive MDP adjustment cable.

Panasonic had something similar until the LX-600/900.

While not as nice looking Grasshopper sent a pic of a jig he had for a 3070 to me once but I didn't keep the pic.
Guess I'll have to ask him one day nicely :eh:
