Okay, one more little problem...whenever I play a CD on my CLD-D702 the disc itself will not eject into the tray. I have to remove the top and gently pop it off the upper spindle into my hand. Is there an easy way to remedy this?

Take a sharp edge and carefully clean the burr's from the edges in the CD hole. Tolerance it tight and this can happen or make sure the centering guide in the top clamp part is clean and not tacky.

This is exactly what my Sony MDP-600 player does with CD's. Blindfury or rixrex recommended that I clean the bottom of the top clamp with WD-40 to reduce the tacky feeling. Well, I tried this approach and it did not reduce the tackiness. Right now, the best solution is to not play any CD's in the LD player.

Seriously just try cleaning the hole punch out in the CD. Not enlarging it but cleans the burrs from the hole being punched, then it will work better.
