hello im IAmGhostFace, my real name is josh, im an 18 year old guy who thinks laser-discs are beautiful, ive never watched a laser-disc movie, or even seen a laser-disc in real life,However ive recently ordered two ld movies of of ebay (scream & scream2) i most likely overpaid, but ill be happy to own them. id really like to get my hands on a laser-disc player, but they seem expensive, so we will see. id also like a blank laserdisc to hang on my wall, but i dont even know if "blanks" exist. so i might just find a cheep one to hang up.
if anyone can help me with this then just reply. thank you.

i live in a small town near portland oregon, id love any laserdisc that nobody cares about, just to hang on my wall. ive been looking all over the place for either a ld player or an ld disk, but most kids my age dont even know what a ld is. laserdisk format was "dead" before i was born.

that player will play all LD laser discs, the silver ones. if you look at http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laser ... a-2000.htmit says it's a single side player. if you want to pay more to get the auto flip you will be happier but this i think would be a good start to see if you really want to collect. but it also may be such a low end player that you might get frustrated? i never had the player. you can also check ebay for something, also some of the guys here have some for sale.

It works great. My only problem is that the shipping could kill it. My percentage is better now, I am up to about an 80 percent success rate, even when I use the original box and double box someone at the post office drops it and messes it up. Let me call someone and I might be able to get you a 2400 cheap, and then if it breaks there will be no problems because there are many of those. Give me a few weeks to call around. I am talking dirt cheap as well, like 15 or 20 dollars and another 30 for shipping I believe. It is a good model and a good one to check to see if you want to collect LDs. Then when you see you do forgive us all. Check this out! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pioneer-LaserDi ... 3a6e68f35cThat is a decent machine and well, a great beginning one.

mikeystoyz wrote: The problem with the player is the fact that you cant do anything about the guts. No matter how well you pack the insides are still free standing and a good jolt will mess them up. yes, true. but you have to think about it how did we get them all the way from japan i guess if you just mark the box up crazy and say do not drop and insure it for double? you just have to take chances with them, i did with my r7g, inside was a mess but it was fixed and sent back to me with no issues.
