hello, iam ghostface. i'm elie.
and like you, i'm facinated by ld's.

advice:
get your player from ldservice, pick a pioneer hi-end player, such as d-702. (or not high-end, you want a good player, not a crappy one and 3 important things to look for is A--digital audio. B--auto a/b play, so no flipping unless it's 2 discs+. and C--remote included)
you can buy discs from lddb.com or ebay, but make sure the condition is VERY GOOD. (also recommend laserdiscvault and dadon's rare laserdiscs)

keep them away from the sun and heat.
before playing a movie, make sure you removed the pesky shipping screw.
have some test discs ready.

have fun.

you don't even have a player yet yourself.
don't start giving advice :shh: , not all players have transit screws.

Most newer players didnt have transit screws for some reason. My 700, 919, 909, elite 59, cdl704 and my sony a2 dont have them and those are some pretty expensive players.

don't assume anything
you always make me laugh with your silly posts about the quality of LD and yet you don't
even have a player

is it possible that you are getting the sound by holding it upto your ear like a sea shell?
i'll have to try that one next time i'm shopping around for LDs, CDs or even records

oh guys... i have been away WAY to long... look what my thread became...

newtolaserelie can i ask you a question?

if i hold the hole in the center of my scream laser-disc really close to my eye can i watch Ghostface kill Tatum?

i mean if you can hear the sound quality of your little mermaid disc without a player im sure i can watch mine without one right?
