So to start off I'm a huge CED collector so collecting discs wasn't far off from me. I acquired two laserdiscs online for no reason, very cheap(Rob Roy and Defending your life), last year but never did anything further. Recently went to my local thrift store and I noticed a LD player there for 175 dollars,
Pioneer CLD-S201. I read about it and seen that it wasn't exactly the best player so I offered her 80 dollars and she took it. Got home, put a laserdisc in and I was very pleased to see that it works fine. Went to the other thrift store and acquired more laserdiscs for 2.99 each and some that were sealed.
I currently run the LD player through my 55 inch 4k TV and looks pretty good. Looks close to DVD level. Also have a 32 inch CRT that I can run it through if the need arises. Glad to be aboard.
