Just wanted to say Hello Members, Im Happy to see the players and the LD enthusiast still Strong.
I sold the Faroudja LD1000 locally last Spring
I mainly use a Cld-95 for most of my critical viewing
62inch Mits DLP (2009) with the newer color wheels, etc.
65 inch CRT Mits 2004 (last of the best Crt from Mits for Laserdisc format)
I have been just staying low key for a few years and been doing more repairs on Vintage CD Players, it seems everytime I fix a clients LD player, he says can you look at my 1983 Sony cdp-101.
Anyways, things look good on here,
Duane Cummins, MI
Other than that, yes I

rein-o wrote: ah, sony CDP-101, my father used to work for someone who had one. didn't know what it was back in the mid 80s but it was cool. I have 1 more I just got from a original owner in the box and its a true Japan cdp-101 with a step transformer. It even still has the original Sony batteries in the box, remote and manual. The front key control needs fixed and transport relubed. I sold the last one for him on Ebay for $375.00 I believe, anyways this laserdisc forum, but I just wanted to mention what I was doing instead of LD repairs past few years. I refer all Ld-S2 players to Duncan and more... At one time I sent all ac-3 work to Kurtis. If you want to keep Duncan Happy, I suggest you send him Some JD with your player, Im not joking!! Duane, MI

rein-o wrote: i'll know for the future repair to send along a bottle A pint of JD to Dunc gets you a belt done and player back at expected time, A 5th of JD gets you some bonuses and player back when Quoted. Gallon of JD to Dunc, well let's just say that Should Shine Things up, but he just might stay home and enjoy that Gallon. So it could either way. Duncan, I will start unpacking boxes for free now lol \../ Either way, Duncan is a great Tech and Person and will carry a Legend, The JD does help move things along:........... He takes great pride in his line of Work...

Welcome grasshopper, your skills can only get more needed as time marches on ........ Big Welcome to the LDDB ! Thanks firehorse_44, I heard a few months back from the West Coast, that the LD Action was here!!!! Im sure most of you know or heard of me or by my Ebay Username Dueyat30.... Im just sitting on Players and Parts for the last few years, as the market really changed due to Economy, shipping costs, etc. I wasn't to sure how come into the forums and introduce myself after all this time that has past. Im not the type that likes to get into deep debates on LD Players as everyone has a different monitor or projector, etc. It was easier to to debates about players when we all used to use Crt's in my opinion.
