Hello all. I am very new to the Laser Disc format, I have about 100 titles, and got my first player in Feb, 2012. I am hooked! I got my second player a couple of weeks ago that is suppose to play both sides without having to flip the disc. Unfortunately it arrived with a small piece broken. The player does everything it is suppose to but I have to flip the disc manually. Many thanks to Grasshopper, a guy I have just met via cyberspace. He is very helpful to a "new to laser disc player" guy like me, in fact the seller of the machine was talking about the problem and Grasshopper chimed in what could be wrong with it, and he was right. The piece I need to fix it is on it's way here, FREE OF CHARGE!!! Thanks again Grasshopper for your generosity! I can't wait to get it going!
A little about myself. I have been a passionate fan of the CED format, I bought my first player in Sept 1983, the first stereo player they offered (sgt-250) I now have a little over 900 titles and 8 working players! I love extinct formats! Especially vinyl records and vinyl discs!

Welcome to the LDDB Forum!! Your part for your DVL-700 should arrive by the end of the week I would think. Im sure your you will enjoy the LD format and the nice members on here as everyone is great so far... ldservice pointed out to a link on that lever that was broken as I only seen it happen once, but that was by just seeing it was broken, so credit goes to ldservice(Duncan Hunter).
