Hello LD community,

I have entered the silver/gold world almost a year ago when a colleague gave me a Pioneer CLD - S310 and a few discs. As I am vintage addicted I really appreciated this present! So I started to collect. Soon I had to learn that the S310 is maybe not the best player for me because it does not play NTSC and e.g. the American market for LDs is much bigger than in Europe...so I screened the market for a different player. Now I have a Denon LA-2300a (with AC3 RF out mod). It is always amazing how friends/family are surprised when I show them the big shiny discs - almost nobody has a clue that they existed!

My collection is now updated...and the collecting goes on

P.S.: Are here any collectors/users from Austria?

The last 2 weeks I had the chance to buy different single LD's and smaller collections. Now I start having "space" problems in my appartment. I'll have to decide which LD's to keep and which to sell again.....not an easy job 'cause somehow I like all of them

The Austrian market is not an easy one regarding collecting Laserdiscs and shipping from other countries can be very expensive Some of the sellers really ask for much too high prices and don't want to trade.....same story with players, there are almost none on the market - and least of all high end players and AC3 RF demodulators...

But this forum already helped in case of some questions I had and I'm really happy to have this platform as second home for my hobby
