Hi everyone, I'm Starman. After being interested in Laser Disc for a while, I recently decided to buy a Laser Disc player (I have a Pioneer CLD-2080, unfortunately without a remote) and while I only own one disc so far (the uncut version of Scream), I am excited to get some discs and build a LD collection. At the top of my want list on LD is the Star Wars Trilogy (the original versions, of course).

I hope to be active on this forum!

Edit: I also forgot to mention that I'm an obsessed U2 fan. I plan on getting some U2 LDs.

Interesting. you like LDs all on your own? My son used to love movie night with the laserdiscs, but that was my influence. He's 22 now, and more of a Netflix fan.

Originals are the ones to get (but those bluray box-set is fit for a food blender then the microwave oven then the rubbish bin).

I'm after the first two of the early editions I have Return of the Jedi.

With the original dialouge panning for some scenes (all the later THX versions including "Nooo" Jedi has had dialouge panning centred, Noooo, Yes Noooo, umm, YES.)

Hi Laserbite, I found and bought the "Faces" versions of the trilogy a couple of months ago. I've also found the special edition set but I didn't buy it (I wish I would have though.)
