Im glad to see that im not the only one to collect a discontinued and obsolete format :(

Ive started to collect in 1988 my first LD was 5" The Cure - Boys dont Cry

My first Player was the Pioneer CLD 315S who served for several years

Today im more focused on collecting Music Lasediscs, they still sound stunning sometimes better than the DVD

Regards from Luxemburg

Hello cosmo,

Good evening from the UK

Yes there are plenty of us die hard Laserdisc collectors still around and it's good company here.

To be honest 99% of the time this is the only site that I post on these days.
It's great to read from many members, who have come across from many other well known forums.

There is a great knowledge base here with engineers and so forth, also those of us that are now willing to do minor repairs on their own Laserdisc Players and that's a good thing.

the above adds to the wealth of experience and knowledge shared and advice given.

Welcome and shall look forward to corresponding with yourself at some stage sir.

Genuine Regards

 :D

Hi

Welcome to the Forum.

Sometimes when I buy a collection there are many musicdiscs that I don't collect. Maybe we can meet sometime when I have doubles available...
Belgium-Luxemburg only takes a 2hour drive.
It's been a while since I visited Luxemburg. Are there any second hand shops left out there? I found one years ago that sold used dvd's and a few laserdiscs...
I believe on a corner when you enter the city center. They sold mainly cd and records. I always stopped at the Cactus shopping mall to check out the region 1 dvd's. + prices not that bad.
Also remember a shop in another shopping center nearby on the 2nd floor. Bought myself the True Lies dvd THX mastered (French Import) . It wasn't available at the time in Belgium.
The Shops in Luxemburg are fun since all sorts of imports come together. Maybe taxes has something to do with that ;)
anyway,

Enjoy the Forum

There is no place left where they sell used LDs

Appently in France ( Metz ) there are 3 shops where they sell Vinyls and Laserdiscs ( La Face Caché is one of them )
Maybe a French member has more informations about !
