Hello,

I'm 25 years old and have been into vintage and obsolete formats as long as I can remember. I always wanted to own a Laserdisc player since I saw one when our teacher used it in the 6th grade for science presentations. For a few years off and on I've been scouring ebay to find a decent player that didn't have a rip-off buy it now price and I've finally made the dream come true!

It looks like there's a great community of people here that love not only the LD format, but other various analog formats out there. I hope to make friends with a lot of you and eventually build up a hefty sized collection to start trading with some of you guys.

I also have a very weird stance on keeping things somewhat grounded in the era. The LD player is hooked up to a mid-90s zenith CRT that has s-video inputs and runs into a 1965 HH Scott LK-60 amp. It's not a huge powerhouse, but it is way more than enough for the small room I have it in.

I see that Marantz also made some LD players out there... They made some really nice amps in their hey-day and maybe that love for vintage audio also extends to some of you guys out there.

Anyways, hope to see you guys on the board!
