My name is Darron I am an 18 year old from St.Louis who bought his first laserdisc player and disc yesterday after wanting one for a year or so! I picked up a Phillips CDV400 LaserDisc player yesterday and Karate Kid II on LD all for the total of $15. I hope to learn more about the format and add some of my favorite sports movies to my collection. Hope to become a valuable member of your forum! Thanks guys! |

Very cool! When I was 18 my dad told me (after worying about my career choices) "so you just want to grow up to be a god damned TV repairman". Well, wrong dad, I grew up to be a god damned laserdisc repairman. It's a fun format and it's nice to see the DVD generation have some preservation interest. Take part and enjoy the fun |

Well, I'm a bit too old for Nirvana. I did grow up in Seattle but at that time it was a TV clown (J.P. Patches) and an accordian playing guy with two dogs. It was the 50's so I'm not a Nirvana guy. Sorry about that |

Hahaha now that's funny! I have the Karate Kid II disc and played the front side all the way through and flipped it over. It played almost all the way through but when it got 36 minutes into the second side it just kept looping the same part over and over. I'm sure that has a technical name that I don't know it ha. |
