Well I have been into laserdiscs for about 2 years. In that time I have amassed quite a collection. I have also gotten several players now. I love this format from the fabulous sleeves(really the best part for me to some degree) to the rather good-looking prints(compared to VHS).

hi there!! i've been technically into LD for about a decade myself, initially sold on the format
on the strength of my affinity of a single LDP alone; the 1988 PIO CLD-3030.
i saw one for the first time on the BAY around perhaps 2000/2001. couldn't purchase it though.

i obtained my first functional LDP around 2006ish, a 1990 CLD-1080.
lasted me all of a month/two before getting busted beyond practical repair in a near-accident.

finally obtained my first 3030 in '07ish, obtained a few more since for parts donors, and haven't looked back.

i've maybe 100/130 LDs; half Hollywood films, half Japanese Animation, and i'm adding to the collection whenever i can.

Welcome to LDDB; hope you will find much to enjoy... :D

Thanks! My primary LDP is the CLD 704. I like it quite a bit(actually just watched Moonraker on it!). I love this forum already.
