Post subject:  Old git that spent too much money on LDs
Got introduced to LD in mid 90's. Collected them for 10+ years. Spent too much money on it. Still keep it as it makes me sad to let it all go, but hardly ever watch it. Maybe one day I can I will find time to try to convert them to some digital format?
All that stopped me so far, is the fact that AC3/DTS can not be easily captured.

And it would be crime to have Jurassic Park DTS converted to ProLogic

Welcome - always nice to see another Brit here! Someone else who knows the sheer horror of SCART plugs... (well, the Europeans too, I suppose...)

I know the feeling!
Bought a few hundreds new myself. was lucky enough to "dump" the more common titles for half the money I paid them. dvd was half price so I replaced them immediatly.
Now only interested in the "better" technical discs.
