I have had LD's for about 20 years and CED's since 1983. My collection of movies breaks down to the following:

93 Laserdiscs
115 CED's
~100 VHS tapes and
~180 DVD's in a Sony DVD changer and 43 DVD Anime series not in the changer.

Since I joined the CEDforum about a month ago, I decided that I should join an LD forum, too.

My LD equipment is a Sony MDP-MR1 and a Sony MDP-600. I have a Pioneer LD player in storage.
My CED players are 2 Sears 934.54708150, 2 RCA SJT-200 and an RCA SJT-090.

I like to collect sets of movies. For example, I have all 4 of the Alien movies and all 4 of the Lethal Weapon movies in LD format. I have Poltergeist in VHS tape, CED, LD and DVD formats. I will have to buy the BD version next(lol).

I hope you enjoy posting here as, there are many members that you may well recognise from sites, such as ''AVS Forums'' & ''Home Theatre Forums''

There are a number of members who have a wealth of experience & knowledge of this fine format.

I have been a laserdisc enthusiast ever since April 1998, I have little experience of comparing the differences with picture quality from one player to the next, as most of my LD equipment (apart from my DVL 909) has had little or no use.

I shall hopefully have my equipment set up properly in stands, in the next 3 months and then I shall have more information to share with this site.

I shall look forward to corresponding further yourself at some stage.
