I have not been on this site long. I was an early adopter of LD Technology. I bought the first player Pioneer produced (had a tube laser). I had no friends with LD's do everyone was amazed at the picture, at the time I had a house with a basement and I proceeded to turn it into a home theater before the phrase ever became common. I bought a Misubitichi rear projection CRT TV (about 50", it was the largest available). I eventually jumped ship to DVD's in the very late 90's but since retiring two years ago my interest in LD's has been refreshed. I have always enjoyed the technology and the artwork. I now have a small home theater in my rec room wth 950 LD's and a full home theater in the basement for both DVD's and LD's.

Good morning Gatewood,

A BIG WELCOME to this forum and hope you enjoy visiting this site when you have the time.

I appreciated reading a little about yourself and hope retirement is going well.

Glad to read that your fondness of the Laserdisc format has returned after a time, as truly it is a unique format indeed.

I shall look forward to corresponding with you at some stage.

Kind Regards to you

 :D
