Hi i'm Eddie (or Ed as most people don't fancy to type long names)
Been a video/movie enthousiastic for more than 30 yrs now and i own some of the best movies now on 4 types of media (perhaps 5 or 6 if you count (S)vcd in)
Been collecting movies on Video2000 / VHS , (S)vcd, DVD, BD and since 2 years or so also on LD.
I purchased at a second hand shop a Philips CD-Video player that was also able to play PAL Laserdiscs.
Every now and then i bought a LD from a second hand store for 1 or 2 euro's since i am a Retro freak as well.
I had like 10 titles already collected with not even b,c or d movies rather refer to them als z movies...
Then i heard about Ro-disc and i was just in time to order about 40 discs from there sealed and some 2nd hand title's (Japanese Krull for example)
Finally this weekend i decided that it should no longer be a gimmick and upgraded LD to a real A class topic in my collection.
I purchased a NTSC/PAL player this weekend and bought a collection of 145 discs with it and now the collecting can take off ...
For now i'm not eager to buy titles that are priced sky-high, but rather start filling up my cabinet with all kinds of stuff.
I reordered my multimedia closet downstairs and now the Pioneer laserdisc player has found it's own spot downstairs ....
Just beside , the TBC dvd-recorder, dvdplayer, bd player, HD sat receiver, SD sat receiver, AC Ryan mediaplayer, PS2 and Xbox
If i only had the time to give them the attention that they deserve ....
