North west of Boston with Laserdiscs from work in 1980's.
A company called Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) had a division in Bedford, Mass
called Educational Services.
They started with lecture and lab then began with LaBelle film strip then in 1982 added
computer controlled laserdisc.
First demo was with using ABBA for trade shows.
In 1983 made first demo laserdisc and later many more for field service courses.
A separate group worked on custom courses for customers and military.

Also designed the circuitry that mated the RGB video to NTSC to overlay text and graphics in high end desktop computer.
Our business plan was written to network systems and add distributed video using satellite.
Also built prototype digital TV based terminals to combine NTSC with newer HDTV Sony prototype CRT and VCRs.
In 2016 we still can't universally record HDTV easily to Bluray like was done with VHS.

My collection is from internal Sony prototype laserdisc to Titanic home video.
Many collectors additions like Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, State of the art in computer animations , etc.
I was and am an applications engineer that figures how to apply technology NOT write computer code.
Now trying to find an overlay system in HTML5 to do the same as 1984.

Use to watch live MTV from c-band dish as the desktop wallpaper and run local applications overlaid on the video.
Favorite was "The Dream is Alive" Laserdisc with warning about volume levels that could destroy your stereo.
Actually did damage to the BOSE 901 at a friends house who said it could handle it.
Cones from speakers were ripped from frame at high excursion distance and ended up in bottom of cabinet.
Also had live feed from NASA during shuttle disaster.
Left the tapes behind that I analyzed the failure evidence by 5 pm same day using single frame VHS on broadcast deck.

I had a laserdisc placed in hologram and the laser burned the disc and the image as brightly as the disc reflecting a real beam.
I'll need another replacement laser to view the film now in the present.

Any way great to discover like minded collectors so keep on watching.
