I've come to these forums every now and again as I'm googling for laserdiscs to buy. I myself am fairly new to laserdisc as an adult. Growing up my family had CEDs in the house. But like the vast majority of people, we went with the flow of technology (regrettably) and didnt keep our previous players from the tech of the past.

I decided to take the plunge a little over a year ago and bought a laserdisc player simply cause there is a plethora of Hong Kong films that are on LD that never made it to dvd.

So I just wanted to say hi to fellow ld enthusiasts and hopefully be in contact with some of you for future purchases of HK LDs.

Welcome to the forum! And you're quite right; there are thousands of HK films on LD that have never been released on dvd. I currently live in Hong Kong and it's amazing just how many HK films I find on LD that I never knew existed! Let me know if there is any specific film you're after and I'll keep an eye out for you

I was visited China a few years ago for like 3 months. Shame at the time I was not invested in LDs. Probably couldve found some great stuff.
