Hi Everyone Iv'e been collecting LaserDiscs for nearly 2 years now and currently have around 150. As someone who grew up with DVDs I had never even heard of LaserDisc until about 4 years ago, I remember when I first read about them I was instantly captivated by the technology. A couple of years later I finally got a player and started collecting and immediately realized I had discovered a modern legend, the format had so many qualities that I found suited me perfectly, as someone who usually uses headphones when watching movies I found the LPCM audio to be so much better than a downmixed AC3 soundtrack. And then of course the cover art and even the sheer size of the discs themselves just adds so much to the whole experience, Iv'e discovered several movies I probably never would have noticed before because the cover art just grabs your attention. I particularly like collecting IMAX movies on the format and like to keep and eye out for anything that hasn't made it to DVD. I have 2 players at the moment, a DVL-909 and a CLD-V2800. Anyways great to be here! Check out my collection if you feel like it, I'd love to hear your thoughts and here's to many years spinning those discs. |

Good evening Kid_Dynamo, Just read your introductory message, and one can only say thank you for sharing a little about yourself, and of your enthusiasm towards the Laserdisc Format. The warmest of welcome from us all here  We can all relate to your comments, May you visit when you are able to, and feel free to share with us all of any updates and progress you make, as it would be great to read more from your good self.
