Post subject:  Greetings from Ireland!

Hello!

I've lurked LDDB both the DB and forums for years (literally) and today decided to join up and hopefully gain and share knowledge with like-minded folks who love all things Laserdisc.

My Laserdisc collection is not very large as I have a rule that if something is on DVD, BR, UDH BR or streaming services then I skip the Laserdisc and VHS release(s). I tend to collect mostly rare and obscure titles, especially anything from Japan, which is where the bulk of my collection is from.

I notice as well that I have some Laserdiscs that are not in the LDDB database, so I will be adding those when I get time as well as updating information on Laserdiscs in the LDDB that have very little information and/or cover images. When I get 5 minutes I'll add the rest of my collection to my profile page too!

I'm keen to learn more about very obscure, niche and rare titles. I also have a Yamaha AC-3 demodulator (the gold Mk2 version) so would like to get some AC-3 discs to try out some day.Hopefully there are folks on this forum who can open a few doors for me or point me the right way to the stuff I'm deeply interested in.

I also enjoy preserving VHS tapes and floppy disks as well as investigating Japanese books and magazines (even though I don't speak/read very much Japanese at all!). Additionally I have a website/blog that I run and talk about obscure stuff, including Laserdiscs. I hope you take a moment to have a look through it! You can find me at The Coterie.

See you around! :D

I like your webpage. Rather, I like that you even have a webpage instead of linking us to Facebook or God help us another Youtubber. Keep it going and I’ll keep reading it.

Thank you firehorse_44 and signofzeta, also thank you for the kind comments about my website. Thanks for leaving a comment on one of my articles too!

The blog will be kept going, I'm just on a hiatus right now until early Q1 2019. Thanks again for the kind words and warm welcome!

Loved the Macross game page, I had that disc, mine was really rotted but it is very rare.
Had to sell it a few months ago.

Thank you very much for the feedback! Mine is in good condition and has the insert. I was raging mine did not come with an obi strip, but to be honest how often do you see that Laserdisc for sale? Not very.

There is lots more to come, it's just a difficult time for me to write anything right now. In the coming weeks I'll be good to go hopefully. Tonnes more content to come!
