Its not about LDs but when you have them as the flip style like an LP store.

Pictures of exactly what you mean would be great. Was trying to get a feel for it.

I never understood the appeal of buying signs and kiosks.

I'm cheap so I built one of my shelves and the rest were acquired cheaply used mostly off CL but I also got a few crudely made (but sturdy) shelves when one of the book stores went under. I did have to repaint those to at least look decent.

And ofcourse you are right, you are entitled to dismiss someone's collection or their show-off, even though I don't understand the need to do so, as I also expressed.

I find it pretty encouraging that some people put so much time, money and effort to preserve something in such a fashionable way.

PS, may I ask what you collect, if any? And if you collect, how do you store it? (No pictures required. ;) )

Quick search, when I was around 15 or so going into video game stores in the city these were what they looked like.
Looks like storage in the back or the actual store with open used stuff on the side.

Just wish there was a nicer way for these to display collections.

Collections are nice when they are small or large but they should NEVER look like a store.

Even if you have a library of books in your house it doesn't look like Barnes and Noble........
And I grew up with my father having a large collection of books, large.......

Having worked there I try to avoid it but it's difficult. My brother always said my room always looks like a store.

:thumbup: I suck at Basketball but I got some original deadstock Jordan IVs with the Nike Air on the back tab back in 2005 or so. If I wore them there's was a good chance the sole would crumble. But I wore em, about 15 times or so before the soles cracked up. Glad I did.

Ah the Bounty Hunter "Skull-kun". I always had the glow in the dark, keychain sized cigarette lighter cover versions (that reminds me, have to slide my old ones over my current Bics) but I guess at some point ther was this monster made. Bounty Hunter was a tiny store in Tokyo when I first went. It sold a few vinyl figures and the owner, Hikaru, was strict punk (and Star Wars) fan who made very clean graphics. Hikaru himself looks like an action figure and is a legend to me.

This is the best muse disc in my book. It looks soo good and the content is really nice.

While I have a near encyclopedic knowledge of the automobile and European racing in particularly I’m for sure not some kind of Ferrari mega fan. I was mainly interested in this disc because I know the subject matter extremely well already and I want to see what the richest group of nerds in Japan are photographing on their broadcast quality HiVision cameras. This disc represents the most elite high end product that could ever be produced by a group that is essentially just a fan circle.

Don't take that too much the wrong way. This disc has some beautiful cars nicely photographed. I enjoy watching it from time to time, though it's kind of more like visiting a very well stocked motor museum. Just never got the appeal of motor-sports, that skipped right by me, my brother is a huge fan but for me it's like watching traffic stuck on a round-about.

I’d say the issue is TV. Once you put a race on TV it’s boring. When you’re IN the car it’s rarely boring.
